Christmas Fun!

I know everyone is busy finishing up shopping, wrapping gifts, baking and getting your homes ready for company. But I thought it would be fun to having a little questionnaire about Christmas. So let us hear from you.

1. What is your favorite Christmas song/carol?

2. What is your favorite holiday activity?

3. What was your favorite childhood Christmas?

4. Who gives the most gifts in your family?

5. How old were you when you baked your 1st turkey?

6. Where will you be on Christmas Day this year?

I guess I'll start:

1. It's hard to narrow it down to one song because I love music and especially Christmas music. I guess "O Holy Night" would have to be my favorite followed by "Silent Night", "Rudolph", and "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

2. Besides being with my family during the holiday my single most favorite activity is going to the Candle Light Service on Christmas Eve at my church.

3. My favorite childhood Christmas was the year my parents put up an aluminum tree with the rotating light wheel. We didn't see it until the next morning and I still think it was the most beautiful tree ever. That year I got a set of Barbie and Ken records, a baton (every little girl back then wanted to be a majorette :), and a stuffed poodle. It was a magical Christmas.

4. It's close but it would have to be my husband.....he loves to give to others and then I'm close behind him.

5. I was probably in my 40's. Cooking a turkey is so intimidating to me. I still prefer to get someone else to do it. It's hard to make a turkey really tasty.

6. I'll be at home

  1. 1. O Holy Night "fall on your knees..." All I Want for Christmas is Yooouuuu!
    2. After everyone has stuffed themselves on Christmas dinner, playing Wahoo ( a Haymon family tradition) and getting crazy with the competition.
    3. I didn't celebrate Christmas as a child, so my first Christmas with Rachel would be my favorite memory.
    4. That would be me!
    5. In my first home in Humble Texas at the age of 30.
    6. I'll be home for Christmas!

  3. No, it's the dressing that intimidates me. I use my mother's recipe.."a dab of this...and a speck of that". After my mother passed away and I became the matriach of the family, I had to make the dressing..which is everyone's fav. SO, I can relax until one of my brothers says, "Taste good Zandy". The turkey is nothing...I use a rotissere these days...yum!

  4. 1. You can't ask me to pick just one fave! I love all Christmas music! Mostly, I love all the classic Christmas artists...Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, and so on.

    2. Now that I have children, my favorite thing is to see my Gray getting into the Christmas spirit and having fun opening gifts. That means the most to me. I don't even need gifts when I see how happy he is!

    3. The one Christmas that has always stood out to me is when I was about 6 years old and Santa brought me a pink Barbie Power Wheels car, white fur coat, and a Lady and the Tramp stuffed animal. I have a pic with me and all three! That's got to be my favorite!

    4. Jamie and I love to shop together for gifts, so probably both of us.

    5. Are you kidding? I still have never baked a turkey! That's my hubby's duty!

    6. Your house!

    See you soon!

  5. 1. My favorite Christmas song is "O Holy Night", although I love to hear Cole's version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

    2. My favorite holiday activity is Christmas Eve at my grandmother's house. We eat good food, exchange gifts, and have so much fun!

    3. My favorite childhood Christmas was the year my parents surprised me with a puppy. I was 5 years old and this precious little white puppy was inside this huge box with a big red bow!

    4. It's a close tie between me and my mother. I love to buy presents for my family!

    5. I baked my first turkey this year for Thanksgiving. Extremely intimidating and I don't care to do it again! I prefer the turkey roast...much easier!

    6. We spend Christmas morning at our house and then the afternoon with my in laws for Christmas lunch.
