Oval Monogram for Sloan & Give Away

I bought this dress back in August and am just now embroidering it.  It was suppose to be a Thanksgiving dress, then Christmas, then Valentines.  Since I'm a bit behind it is an early spring dress :)

It is good thing I ordered the dress in a large size back in August.  I'm all about green and pink right now.  I guess it's a longing for Bunny rabbits, green grass, flowers and longer days.

I used an oval applique and then used the Fancy Font for her initials.

I want to give away a set of white monogrammed towels (bath, hand & wash cloth).  Here's what we'll do... 1 week from now I'll draw for the winner.  You must be a follower of my blog and tell us a bit about yourself.  We can use the following questions as guidelines:
1)  What part of the country are you located in (you don't have to name a town just a general area)?
2) What crafts do you like to do or hope to learn to do?
3) Anything you want to share about your family
4) Anything about yourself you want to share...hobbies, career, children.

Ok that's it.  Pretty simple.  So speak up and let us hear from you.

I'll start.
I live in the south where LSU is our favorite team along with the Saints.  We love purple and gold and black and gold and gumbo! I was a French teacher for 26 years but am now a counselor at an elementary school.  My faith, family, friends, career and embroidery are my life.  I love to embroider, sew a little bit, use my Cricut, cook and bake for my friends and family, shop and peruse Pinterest.  My two children are grown and live close enough I can see them often.  I love my grand babies to the moon and back.  My family loves to vacation in Florida (where my daughter was married) at least once a year.  The simple things in life are the most important to me and that's about it for me.  Your turn.

Have a great Monday!
XOXO,
Karen

  2. I live near Nashville, TN and I stumbled onto your blog last weekend - I LOVE IT. You are very creative. I have 2 beautiful girls (6 and 8) and a wonderful husband. I work full time for a medical technology company. I love to do craft with my kids on evenings and weekends. Being creative keeps me sane. I am a Christian and I just love working in the nursery with the precious babies every Sudnay. One of my true passions is party planning - especially kids birthday parties. I throw a huge bash every year for one of my kids - they alternate years. That makes it more affordable for me and a true appreciation for them as they learn to be happy for someone else. Thank you for sharing your blog and wonderfully creative ideas - I just don't understand how you have time to do so many!

  5. Hello! I live in Texas, the DFW area. I lived in Bossier City, LA for seven years before we moved to Texas! I am originally from Alabama and attended Auburn University so I am an Auburn Tiger fan! I love SEC football!! :) I am a teacher... 6th grade math! I have 3 daughters... 14, 12, 10. I enjoy cooking and baking with them. I love to scrapbook as well, but that is a summer hobby of mine. Teaching keeps me too busy during the school year! I love the Gulf Coast of Florida and go every year to re-connect with childhood friends! I wish we lived closer to the beach! I found you through Pinterest... wish I could remember what item of yours caught my eye, but I love seeing all your cute and clever ideas!
