Snow Man Shirt & Apron
New design I tried for Jackson....a snowman face. The design is from Embrotique. I thought it would be a quick design because it's just eyes and a nose......it turned out to be a 35 minute design which is not exactly quick. It is a great design that is digitized so well. The stitch width is rather large. I like the quality very much.
This almost matches the snowman ornament perfectly from the last post.
I had a request for a "girly", "frilly" gift for a 2 year old baby girl's birthday. This is what we decided on.....a sweet apron. I used the crown design in the 6x10 so it is very large and I found ribbon to match the crown fabric. Two bows for the "girly" girl. Happy Birthday Kaitlynn!

Christmas Ornaments
Late last night I took a break from monogramming and went to work on my Cricut. I got so inspired that I made at least 6 ornaments. They are fun to make because you can finish one in a short time. These are white ornaments but I also have a bright pink, black and purple.
I used SCAL to make my letters. This font is Calligrapher and it is nice and full which makes it easier to transfer without tearing or causing problems. Of course I added lots of polka dots on the back and sides of the ornaments.
This is such a cute design. It was free from an embroidery site that I follow. Will gladly share it for all you folks who have a Cricut. I put the year on the back......I know alot of little folks that will receive this one for Christmas. I'm searching for more cute Christmas designs...will share when I find them.

I actually have the embroidery design that matches this. Wouldn't that make a wonderful gift for a little boy? A shirt and matching ornament! Gotta get busy.....so much to create :))

Got Presents?
I have been sewing for 3 cousins. This is the 4x4 version of the present design from Applique Market. The larger version has the bow appliqued with fabric which I like better but with small shirts you have to do the smaller designs. The font is Boys Are Gross from 8clawsandapaw. I made the 5x7 design for her cousin but it has already been delievered.
I forgot to take a picture of it.
This shirt is for the boy cousin. The design is from Embroidery-Boutique. I used minkie-dot for the pompom and hat cuff. That stuff sheds like crazy but really adds dimention and texture to a design. I guess it is worth all the brushing you have to do to clean up your shirts.

Christmas Boxers & Polar Express Pillow
Cash's mom wanted boxers for her little guy for Christmas. This is a new font from 8Clawsandapaw called Tommy. It is perfect for boys. We both thought the name needed to be large because he will be photographed in his boxers. I hope I didn't overdo it :)
He will be a handsome little man in these boxers.
My grandson, Grayson has fallen in love with the movie Polar Express (he loves trains!). This weekend we bought the movie and watched it with him several times. His favorite part is when the conductor says "All Aboard". He says it right along with them. So, of course I am in love with all things Polar Express now. This little pillow was for Grayson but now it is going with a special little girl this weekend when she rides the Polar Express in Texas. Her grandmother just had to have it for her to take on her train ride! Grayson & Alex when have one when they come for Thanksgiving.

The pillow can be found at Walgreens...it even comes with its own pillowcase. I used the snowflakes from another design and added Believe in Emily font from Embroitique.
Believe!
Only 2 more work days until Thanksgiving Break!!!!

Skylar
A whimsical Christmas stocking shirt for Skylar. It was a hard decision to know what to make for her. We thought about a Christmas cupcake or something cute for a little girl. Finally, we decided on the stocking. It is an old design from Embroidery-Boutique. I bought it last year and never used it. I used the GreenBean Font from 8claws. It is the font I love to use for children's clothes. The ribbon I bought this summer at a sewing boutique in Texas. I only bought 2 yards.........ever do that and then wish you'd bought more. I love sewing Christmas things.

Toffee Popcorn
The final product in a cute little bag with a vinyl initial. I did mine in a Thanksgiving theme but Christmas would be great, too.
This is where it all begins....with 2 little bags of microwave popcorn...yummy
Today I had the day off from work so I was able to get a lot of things done and even try a new recipe. I did sew 6 baby gifts but I won't show you those. Instead I'll share the recipe or at least the inspiration for it. I enjoy reading Edie's blog over at http://www.lifeingraceblog.com/. Right now she is sharing her 12 Days of Christmas which is a daily idea for a homemade Christmas gift for 12 days. On Day 10 she featured Honey Butter and Toffee Popcorn. The popcorn sounded really good but the packaging was also cute so I gave it a try today. I think I will make it again especially since there are people who really like popcorn....I'm not that big a fan but add a little toffee flavor and I'm much more interested. I'll be happy to send you the recipe or you can pop over to Edie's blog and see her version. So here is my process: work your way up... my pictures didn't mind me and come out in the right order and it's too late to try to get them right so sorry :)) Have a great Friday!

Gobble, Gobble
I just had to make a little something for my Grayson. I wanted a turkey for him to wear for Thanksgiving. I bought the design last year so I'm not sure but I believe it is from Embroidery-Boutique. I added his name in Kool Kurls. I am thankful for many things but Grayson is right at the top of my list!
