Emerson Marie

Christmas in August!  I am so thankful for my customers.  They think ahead and give me plenty of time to work on their orders.  This candy cane design is perfect for this bib.... the red trim and candy cane are a perfect match.

I did a matching burp cloth for Emerson Marie.  The red stripe ruffle is my favorite fabric.  It works well with some many projects.

Thanks to everyone who has placed orders since school started!  I really do have the best customers and I appreciate their faith in me to make gifts for special babies and children in their lives.  I'm busy sewing in between work, fun and family.

Speaking of fun and family we made a visit to the fire station this weekend.  Grayson is all about fire trucks, fire stations and firemen.  However, when we got there he said, "I scared".  He watched from a distance and sprayed water from the big fireman's hose :-)  Big boy Alex wanted to wear the fireman's hat and pose by the big truck!  It was a fun visit for two sweet boys and Bella & Papa Asa.

CATS Rock!

Just a little something for Sloan to wear as she cheers on the Wampus CATS in their Jamboree tomorrow night :-)

It will be hot but maybe we will be able to stay for a short while and check out all the CAT fans.

GO CATS!

A friend at school ordered a tutu outfit for Baby Ella.  Her mom wanted pink & black.

I'm looking forward to a great weekend because I will have Alex, Grayson & Sloan.  We will be doing lots of playing, eating and riding the golf cart.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!

Happy Birthday Chair Cover

A friend at school who teaches kindergarten, asked me to design a birthday chair cover.  She wants to make her students feel special on their birthday.

We used a white pillow case and cut it off to fit the length of the chair back.  I added the birthday wish, stitched up the seam that had been cut, added a couple rows of ribbon and......

Voila...... a special chair cover for Ms. Bank's class.

Bad To The Bone

Just a little something for my sweet, sweet Alex.  Of course I will make Gray a matching one but his tee shirt is in the mail.  Boys are much easier to sew for....no matching bows, no ribbon, no ruffles and no matching tutus.Just a shirt and jeans and they are good to go :-)

After a hot and busy, busy week I get to go to a workshop tomorrow.  That's a good way to start a weekend and I will have my son home this weekend!
Hope your weekend is wonderful {and cool}.

Baby Ramiyah Part II

Just couldn't stand it I had to make Baby Ramiyah a red tutu and matching headband bow.  I run out of red tulle right at the last few knots.  I had to run to the store and of course they didn't have another spool of red tulle.  I had to buy red tulle by the yard and cut it.......rather time consuming.  The reds were not a perfect match but I was able to blend them and no one will ever see the difference.

I probably would never have chosen red but then I'm not a red person.  However, this little outfit is perfectly adorable in red and it's just what her grandmother wanted.

Look out for Baby Ramiyah!
Tutu cute!

Baby Ramiyah

Wow! It's been awhile since I have blogged.  The start of school is always busy but exciting.  It takes me awhile to settle in to working all day.  We had a great first few days so I decided to sew to celebrate surviving the first week :-)

Ramiyah's grandmother wanted some gifts for her new grand baby and she wanted red.  I decided to put the red with my favorite combination....red & aqua.

She always wanted an elephant so I set out to find the cutest elephant.  I found several ones I liked but this was my favorite and it was on sale!

Ramiyah's onesie and burp cloth

And....... the whole set.  I may make her a red tutu.  I think that would be adorable.
Have a great weekend!
