Leah

Leah's Aunt wanted a shirt for Leah for Halloween but didn't want anything scary. I found this Pumpkin Carriage from AppliqueAlley and think it is perfect for little girls for fall. I wanted it to be colorful and happy so I used orange polka dot fabric for the pumpkin and bright fuchsia fabrics for the carriage.
The font is Fantini Swoop from 8 Claws and a Paw. I alternated the three main colors for the font and positioned them slightly up and down for fun and something different. I also put orange buttons on the wheels instead of stitching the center. I can't wait to see Leah in her Pumpkin Princess Carriage shirt.

Elle, Adleigh & Cole

It's almost fair and rodeo time here! One of the most fun activities we have in the fall is our annual fair and rodeo. It is fun for the whole family. Elle's mom ordered this onesie for her to wear one night to the rodeo. I made a matching one for her cousin Adleigh. Elle and Adleigh will wear their pink boots and be the cutest little cowgirls at the rodeo!
The boots are from Planet Applique.....ooh they are sooooo adorable. I will have to stitch something else for the little cowboys.
Cole needed a shirt to wear for the Wampus CAT football games. He will be a #1 Fan in this football shirt. The font is High 5 from 8 Claws and a Paw. I wasn't sure if I'd like the alternating colors on the lettering but I thought the shirt needed some color. It turned out that I really like the font and alternating the black and gold.
The CATS have a BIG game this Friday against our rival DRAGONS.
Go CATS!

Lucy

Lucy's aunt ordered her three shirts and this is the last one. According to her, Lucy, who is only 2 already has a great sense of style. Someone gave Lucy a green dress and she threw it aside and said, "not cute", "I like cute!" Lucy sounds like my kind of girl....cute is important. So her aunt wanted three CUTE shirts. She requested pink and brown. The first two are pink and brown but this one is pink and black with a little Parisian flair. I hope Lucy approves.

Bella Frame is from Planet Applique. I had new Zebra fabric that I had not used so decided to give it a try. I wish I had stitched her name in white. I think it would have shown up a bit better...next time.

Everything looks better with a big bow.

Ethan and Ashleigh

I had a custom order for a little boy's 1st Birthday Day. His mother sent me a picture of the number 1 and a monkey face tilted against the number. With my new software Embird combining and manipulating designs is fun and easy. I can combine designs, delete parts of a design, add elements....almost anything I can imagine I do can with the software. So I already had the Chubby Wubby Numbers and I added the monkey which I already had and then wrote his name. Well his big sister had to have a matching shirt so I did Big Sis in applique letters, added the same monkey and her name. These shirts were fun to do because it was something new and different for me. However, the designs took forever to stitch. It was like doing two designs on one shirt. Whew.....they were absolutely labors of LOVE! I do hope little Ethan has a wonderful 1st Birthday!

Chubby Wubby Numbers Applique are from GG Designs Embroidery. Big sis lettering is from Embroidery-Boutique. The monkey is an Embroitique design and the names are Sweet Tart font from 8 Claws and a Paw.

Halloween

Just wanted to share a few things I've made lately for Halloween. The Halloween pail is done using Boys On Mopeds font. I added circles in 1 1/4", 1" and 3/4". I like to use alot of purple and lime green for Halloween. I know boys don't need bows but I do like to add them to my pails. I sewed another Frankie shirt and added coordinating Monsters for little twin brothers. The font on the onesie is All That Jazz from 8 Claws and a Paw. The little Monster is from Planet Applique.
Happy Friday! Geaux CATS!

LSU Party Pail

I got out the Cricket tonight and cut some vinyl. I found these football pails and added some LSU stuff. These could be used for so many things....chips, drinks, candy or nothing....just decorations.

I'm proud that our Tigers gave us another win Saturday night!

Remember the LSU football shirts for the twins? This shirt is for their older brother. Their aunt wanted something not too young looking so I went with College Font Applique from 8 Claws and a Paw. It's simple but fitting for a big boy!

Game Day

Don't get me wrong I'm not one who can sit for three hours and watch a football game ..I have too many other things to do but I do love LSU for many reasons. My husband and my brother graduated from LSU Law School and both of my children attended LSU. My nephew and his wife were professors at LSU before moving to Ohio. One of my all time favorite students that I taught for 2 years played football for LSU and for the last 11 years I have been taking students to State Literary Rally on the beautiful campus of LSU. When my children were young we went to all the sporting events at LSU....baseball at Alex Box Stadium, basketball at the Pete Maravich Center and of course football at TIGER Stadium. Watching a game in Tiger Stadium is not that comfortable as I remember. It seemed that we had 6 inches of "booty" space and I felt like I was sitting on my neighbor. It rained on and off during that game so we'd run under the bleachers to escape the rain and then return to watch. No matter how cramped we were being in Death Valley is exciting! My son is there tonight....he's a true Tiger Fan. Just wanted to share a few pictures of game day at our house.
Anton was born this week and his mother works for LSU! Another devoted fan ordered this for her.
An aunt ordered these for her twin nephews...more fans!

Purple and Gold mini cupcakes

Yummy!
Ok Tigers we want another win.

Lucy and Devin

Crown applique for Lucy in pink and brown. The design is from Embroidery-Boutique. It is absolutely my favorite design right now. You'll be seeing lots of it. The font is Embird #38.

Lucy will be a little princess in this shirt!

Three burp cloths for Devin.

Again I used the crown applique. This time I made it a prince design by leaving off the swirly designs around the oval. I think the red and white polka dots look good with the black and white gingham.

Another sock monkey. The design set has 7 different monkeys. I will look it up if anyone wants to know the website. I have used the monkeys a lot. Everyone loves the little sock monkeys. Font is Dancer from 8 claws and a paw.

I showed you this precious tiger this summer. I fell in love with him and searched and searched until I found the site to buy him. He is from Tigerlilyhill Designs on ebay. She has some really cute designs. He does take about an hour and 15 to complete but I think he's worth the time and effort. Geaux Tigers this weekend!

I've had a busy, busy week so tonight is the first chance I've had to sew. I've missed sewing and sharing with you. A friend needed three burp cloths for a baby boy ....Devin. She requested a Sock Monkey and the Baby "Mike the Tiger" as I call him. For the third she said surprise me so I did with the crown applique and his name in the center. I also have another friend at work that wanted three shirts for her young niece. She wanted them in pink and brown. Oh I love pink and brown. I finished one tonight and can't wait to design the others all in pink in brown. Tomorrow is FRIDAY! Good Luck Wampus CATS. It will be our first home game. Happy Weekend everyone!

New Look and New Name

My daughter has been encouraging me to change the name of my blog to Bella & Bambino so I did it! This is my 185th blog entry and I am celebrating with a new look. I will keep my address the same for awhile so that everyone can still find me. I started this blog about 18 months ago and have enjoyed getting to hear from so many people and seeing their blogs and the things that are so very important to them. Some days I don't want to blog but when someone says they "looked" at my blog and how much they enjoy it then it makes me want to keep going. I will call my humble little "business" Bella & Bambino, too. While I'm at it I want to thank everyone who orders my "creations". I am happy that you want them for the special Bambinos in your life! Happy Saturday from Bella (that is what my grand kids call me)!

Asher

Brown and green burp and onesie for Asher.

I used the Taylor font applique from LynniePinnie and added the name in Typewritter font from Jolson. I think the two are a perfect match. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Brady

Brady's Frankenstein is on a black t-shirt. I really like the way the colors pop on the dark shirt. They almost look fluorescent.

I made some thread color changes for the black shirt. I stitched his hair in a rusty-orange color and Brady in purple instead of black. Brady will look so cute!

Annie's Pumpkin!

I love this design. Simple but adorable. Annie's mom really likes Kool Kurls font so that's what I used for her name. I added a brown polka dot bow and Annie is ready for fall.

I'm ready for fall myself. As my mother always says...there is a touch of fall in the air. It's still hot but September is always more pleasant than August. And we have so many holidays and fun things to do in the fall....ball games, visiting the pumpkin patch, fall festivals.....oh can't wait!

More Shirts!

LSU megaphone shirt for Addie. Her shirt is small so I used the smaller 4x4 megaphone design. The font is College from Jolson's.

Who Dat shirt for JoAnna. Her name is done in All That Jazz by 8claws and a paw.

I'm working hard to get all my little folks LSU, SAINTS, Wampus CATS and OSU shirts completed. I know everyone wants to show their spirit! As soon as I finish those I will begin
Halloween shirts and onesies.
